Welcome to On Angel’s Wings. Let me ask you something…what if everything you knew was a lie? Or more accurately, what if it was a finely woven cover up for the greatest battle known (or rather, currently, unknown) to man? Intrigued? Well if so, we’d love to have you. There is a war raging, my friends. A war on earth between vampire and werewolf and witch, but more than that…a war in which angels fight their “fallen” brothers and sisters, to maintain the rule of Heaven under the Light.
There are Demons and Angels all around us, my friends. Listen closely and you will hear the beat of their wings or feel the chill of their breath. They are fighting, and have been for what seems like an eternity, especially since recently, those of the Celestial Guard have suffered a great blow : the Book of Malachi has been stolen.
Ah and just what is the Book of Malachi? Well for starters, it is – like Pandora’s Box – a keeper of great evil. You see, when Lucifer fell from Heaven and descended into Hell, as revenge, he took the Light’s greatest treasure: the Gem of Eden. The Light was very angered at him, and in revenge, He took Satan’s second in command – Lucian – and locked him away in the Book of Malachi forever. Now, however, that book has gone missing, and the tension between Demons and Angels is ever higher.
Angels have requested the aid of their old friends, the Hounds of Heaven, or what humans call werewolves, to find the Gem of Eden and return it to them. On the other hand, Satan has sent out his warriors, the Creatures of the Night (otherwise known as vampires), to find Lucien. Both sides have traitors, ones who betray their side, as well as neutrals, ones who don’t care one way or the other.
On the side of the Hounds of Heaven, their queen, Kassandra Romiriano, has been in hiding ever since she was given the throne by her father, ruling in secret. She has entrusted her close friend and bodyguard, Melina Cauldwell, to be the “face” of the werewolf people. But soon, the real queen must choose whether to agree to aid the angels in their quest and lead her people into the second largest war the world has ever known, or be the first werewolf ruler to turn down the angels.
