It can all start with a finger and a letter...
His hands shook. He did not think he would be able to open the letter. His Beta stood at his side, curious as to what the letter said and mournful over the contents of the little box that had been received an hour earlier. Llewlyn did not trust the letter, considering the item in the small box he had received hours earlier. The envelope was opened carefully with a letter opener and the expensive parchment the letter had been written on smelled of a fragrant hand soap he was unable to identify. The writing was copperplate and neat.
To Llewlyn,
Currently, I am quite certain you are aware of the situation your family has been placed in, or suspect the situation your family is in. I regret to inform you that your mate Hazel has been taken into custody by The Mother Church. After her arrival, she gave birth to your son. But you will know this, considering the finger of your newborn son was received roughly an hour prior to the arrival of this letter. Do not fret. Your mate has not been harmed and will not be harmed if you are willing to comply to the terms of the contract that waits for your signature in the Vatican City. Your signature guarantees the safety and the survival of Hazel and the survival of her family's pack as well as the continual existence of your pack.
There is a passport as well as a plane ticket, for one, to leave later in the afternoon. I am certain you will receive this letter three hours prior to the departure of the plane. It does not give you much time to act or to pack your belongings but you will not need much anymore. Material possessions are nothing but simply that and easily forgotten. You will have your mate returned to you as long as you agree to comply to the terms of the contract between you and His Holiness. The terms you are to follow as of reading this letter are these and to understand: You are to tell no one about this letter. You will be hunting down the packs of your fellow Lycanthropes. You will find covens of Vampires. You will tell us where they are located and there will be an immediate extermination of these unholy beasts of Hell off God's wonderful Earth. You will tell no one of what you are doing.
Take pride in your work, Llewlyn, and take comfort. You are working for Him now and are one step closer to salvation. You are a cursed creature, a creature of Satan and the Abyss, and each step you take takes you closer to eternal damnation. God and His Holiness has chosen you and your actions will take you steps closer to the eternal kingdom of Heaven. Do not ask me why, for there are no answers as to why He would choose a blasphemous creature such as yourself.
God works in mysterious ways. I take comfort in the knowledge of this.

P.S. You remember Nicolas, do you not? The son of your ex-clan leader you helped to murder? He has found his way to God and will watch over your flock until the end of your contract.
