Gold Cliff is a quiet village in the Lake District, England. Surrounded by miles of lush, green expanse, it has its own ecosystem, own life. There are two once rivals schools in Gold Cliff, the failing Gold Tree Comprehensive, and the Gold Leaf Academy for Gifted Young Adults, to give it its full title. Once rivals, a truce has been drawn up between the schools, despite their headmasters being childhood enemies.
Gold Tree Comp. is given use of the facilities of the Academy, the underprivileged attendees enthralled and often enraged by the lavish surroundings and facilities of the Academy, and tensions are running high. The Academy has a stuck-up reputation to the comprehensive, the Academy looking down their noses at supposed scum. Despite the students objections, some torn between their want for either use of facilities or extra credit and their cliques, the schools propose a merger of such. The schools headmasters and head students are introduced, and the students of the comprehensive are given use of most of the facilities at the Gold Leaf Academy.
But will tensions between the headmasters become too much? Will they put their grudge before their schools? Will the students decide to take matters into their own hands against their rivals, will chaos ensue? Will the residents of Gold Cliff be at loggerheads, and will the merger finally rip the village apart?
