Character: Gwen Hentra Treath
Elemental applying for: Hmm... what would you call being close to souls and spirits?
Reasons for applying: To give Gwen a unique thing. Even though all witches are close to the spirits of the world, I just see Gwen being closer, and more in touch.
Why should we give this part to you?: Hmm... Well, I think that you should give it to me because I'd like to have Gwen be different from other witches, and not just have a normal elemental power, but be connected to the world in her own and special way.
How many years have you rped?: 4
Are you active? And how often are you on?(be honest!): I'm on as much as possibe.
Will you be active in the future: Hope so!
What can you personally bring to the life of the character?: It will give her a reason to be part of this world, and will make her feel less useless.
Audition Post:
This soul really needed to take a break. Like, Gwen knew that it was in distress, she had been able to feel it for the last three days that she had been in this tiny town. She was here to help this soul get out of distress, and pass on into the world where it would be able to watch its loved ones with out feeling hurt and wouldn't be tied to the small house on the curve anymore. There had been reports from here that this soul was acting very inappropriate, and that was why Gwen was here. Slowly, she moved towards the house, the distress radiating from it almost painful in its own little way.
As she reached the house, she was happy to find that the door wasn't locked. Quickly, she moved in with her bag of potions and the ingredients to make the circle. This would catch the soul, and take it over to the other side, hopefully. It had worked before, though, so she was pretty sure it would work now. With a slight intake of breath, she sat down on the floor, cross her legs, and pulled out three candles. She quickly set them in a triangle, before taking out a beaker of liquid and pouring it around her in a perfect circle. It made an invisible cage, and the soul could get in, but couldn't get out.
Quickly, she lit the candles, and then waited. It wasn't long, however, before she saw the shimmering in the door way. It was the spirit, and that was how she saw them in the human world. She wouldn't be able to actually make out the spirits features until it moved into the circle. She didn't have to wait long, though, for a second later, the spirit moved forward, curious, and next thing she knew, and young boy stood, or floated, before her. His eyes were brown, and his hair a rusty red, the colour hers used to be. She smiled, but he suddenly seemed to realize what had happened, because he was trying to back up, and wasn't having much luck.
Then he began to wail.
Gwen gasped, hands flying to her ears. It was a ghostly sound, a mixture of anger, distress and terror. He obviously wasn't in the mood to get caught by her today. She, however, reached into her bag and pulled out another beaken. Quickly, she screwed of the top, and with carefully measures amount, poured three drops onto each candle.
The world burst into light.
She was blind for several minutes after it cleared, but when she opened them again, the soul was gone, and so was the distress. It was quite a simple thing, catching spirits and souls, but it was always a bit hard on her, each time a little bit harder then the last. With a sigh, she began to clean up, still blinking away the lasts traces of blinding light.
