In the land of Sylina, Pokémon of all types thrive without the worry of trainers, etc. Recently, an ancient plot has started to unfold. A mysterious group of rogue Pokémon have created a new DNA strand and Shadow Lugia is reborn. With him, Darkrai acts as his guide and helps him cause havoc.
They now seek to steal the Sun Shards which keep the flow of all living things going strong. Without them, time, space and matter comes to a stand-still, worse than the affect of losing the Time Gears.
Luckily, a new band of explorers have been formed, known as Dusk Fighters. Led by the powerful Ninetales, and her assistant Absol. They have searched Sylina for teams of Explorers and Rescue Teams to join them to become Dusk Fighters.
